I've been working on "Mossimo" (his canvas name) for a couple years off and on. He's a Mayan dancer. When I was feeling his eyes looking at me, and, like my dog, without words, telling me what to do, "Add a few strokes, give me life." "Finish me when you can, I'm on no hurry." I was recently asked, again, "How do you know when a painting is done?" I guess, when no part of it can be better but not over painted. Keep it balanced. He's finished.
